A 62-year-old Dubuque, Iowa man faced a first-degree murder charge after he reportedly confessed to shooting his daughter.
“(T)he Dubuque 911 Center received a call indicating someone within the residence might be deceased,” at a home in the 2100 block of Clarke Drive at about 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015, according to a spokesman for the Dubuque Police Department. When they arrived, 62-year-old Robert Stern directed officers to a bedroom in the home.
That’s where they found the body of Robert’s daughter, 27-year-old Kimberly Stern.
“Kimberly appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds,” the spokesman said. “As part of the initial investigation, Robert was interviewed and ultimately admitted to shooting Kimberly.”
Robert Stern was charged with first-degree murder, police said, and he was held in the Dubuque County Jail.
