From the moment the song starts, it’s clear that six-year-old Johanna believes every word of Aretha Franklin’s hit song, “Respect.”
Video of Johanna’s performance, as part of a trio at a weekend dance recital in North Carolina, has quickly gone viral. She’s got great tempo, memorized the whole routine and instantly took command of the stage.
Her mom reportedly said Johanna had no idea who Aretha Franklin was, but she knew right away that Aretha’s “got a lot of sass, mommy!”
It’s pretty clear in the video posted by Elissa Colon, that Johanna’s got a little bit of sass herself!
