Davenport Police were seeking help in their search for 57-year-old John LaBarre.
LaBarre was last seen at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, "on the river between Credit Island and Marquette Street boat ramp," according to an advisory from Captain Brent Biggs of the Davenport Police Department.
LaBarre was described as 5-feet 10-inches tall, and he weighs 175 pounds. Anyone with information about John LaBarre was asked to immediately call 911.
A family member said LaBarre was camping with his nephew the last time he was seen, and that LaBarre's daughter spent several hours with the men at their campsite before she left at about 11 p.m. Saturday.
The same day police issued an advisory concerning LaBarre, several Davenport police cars converged on the area - at about 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015 - near Centennial Park where LaBarre was last seen. Police spent about an hour taking photos and inspecting the area where LaBarre's campsite was set up.
