Heavy smoke poured from a burning Metro bus that caught fire near Black Hawk College on Monday, June 8, 2015.
The fire was reported by several nearby residents and motorists who saw the smoke at about 7 p.m.
The day after the fire, authorities said it had started in the rear engine compartment of the natural gas-fueled bus, and that the cause was mechanical. No foul play was suspected.
No injuries were reported.
