A former councilman and photography studio owner pleaded not guilty to a half-dozen charges in connection with allegations of inappropriate contact with teenage girls.

Christopher Lee King faced three charges of third-degree sexual abuse, one count of sexual assault, one count of disseminating obscene material to minors and one count of indecent exposure according to court records from Des Moines County.

King, who owns Daisy Frames Photography Studios, was accused of giving alcohol to teenage girls, driving them to rural locations in Des Moines County where the alleged sexual abuse occurred. Burlington Police Lt. Jeff Klein said more than two dozen victims had told police King molested or attempted to molest them.

King was arrested Wednesday, May 6, 2015.

Court records showed King pleaded not guilty to the charges at a hearing held Wednesday, May 27. On June 1, his trial date was set for July 21, 2015.

Jail records showed he remained held in the Des Moines County Jail, in lieu of $20,000 cash-only bond, as of Monday, June 1.
