A benefit was planned to help a Cambridge man battling ALS.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2015, was aimed at helping 48-year-old Donnie Riordan with medical expenses as he battles the disease. The benefit was set to be at Geneseo Moose Lodge #990 at 1025 South State Street in Geneseo (see benefit poster below).

Activities like a euchre tournament, taco dinner, live auction, musical entertainment, and karaoke were planned. The event was set to last all day from noon to midnight.

Riordan is a graduate of Orion High School and lives in Cambridge with his wife Carrie. The two have five children and four grandchildren.
