The body of a Burlington man, missing since his boat capsized, was found in the Mississippi River near Burlington, Iowa.
Christopher Corson, 33, and Anthony Zurmuehlen, 30, were fishing when their 14-foot jon boat was pulled under the dam and overturned, at Lock and Dam 18, on Sunday, May 24, 2015.
Zurmuehlen used a log and other debris to help work his way to shore. He was found by DNR Conservation Officer Paul Kay just before 3 p.m. Sunday, and he was taken to an area hospital to be examined. He was not hurt.
Corson’s body was found just before 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 25, a short distance from where the boat capsized.
Neither of the men wore a life jacket when the boat capsized, according to the Iowa DNR.
