A motorcyclist was thrown from the vehicle when he struck a stopped Honda CRV.
A dispatcher confirmed that the crash was called in around 3 p.m. Saturday, May 23 in the 2700 block of the roadway near Heritage Church.
A statement from the City of Bettendorf indicated that the motorcycle was heading eastbound when it struck the back of the Honda that was stopped in traffic. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and was taken to a nearby hospital.
Middle Road from 23rd Street to Happy Joe Drive was closed for about two hours, according to the statement.
No charges have yet been filed.
Bettendorf Police and Fire Departments were on scene along with a medic and the Scott County accident investigator.
