Superhero fans got a treat Saturday, May 2, 2015 as a local collectibles store gave away free comic books.
Patrons came dressed in their favorite costumes to join in the fun at Have Fun Collectibles on Avenue of the Cities in Moline.
A store employee said around 12:30 p.m. that they had a “huge crowd” for the event.
According to the store’s Facebook page, customers were encouraged to dress up to have their pictures taken with Iron Man, Deadpool, and other comic book heroes.
A dozen bookstores in Chicago agreed to participate in the nationwide holiday after a successful go in 2014.
