In the NFL draft, Iowa senior Brandon Scherff was the No. 5 pick, drafted by the Washington Redskins.
The Chicago Bears had No. 7 pick, and drafted Kevin White.
The two quarterbacks who were drafted first and second were Jameis Winston, who went to the Tampa Bay Buckaneers, and Marcus Mariota, who was picked by the Tennessee Titans.
The draft began Thursday, April 30, 2015 and would continue Friday and Saturday.
