Nepal was slammed by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake on Saturday, April 25, 2015.

On Sunday, the region was jolted with a powerful aftershock as the Himalayan nation struggled to cope with the jarring.
“Think of an aftershock as just the earth basically readjusting itself after all the fault displacements that took place across this region,” said a meteorologist.
More than 2,000 people have died and countless buildings have been leveled.
