Police say dozens of storage units were broken into at the Cloverleaf Storage in Davenport.
On Friday, April 24, 2015 an owner came to check the storage facility, located on the northwest corner of Highway 61 and I-280, and found that locks had been cut from about 60 of their units, according to Lt. Bryce Schmidt from Scott County Sheriff’s Department.
Schmidt said the owner is from the east side of Illinois and “checks on the units a couple times a week.”
Investigators say the burglaries happened sometime over the last couple of days. It is not clear what items were taken from the units.
Renters were being contacted so they could come check their unit to find what was taken.
