A Davenport home was significantly damaged from a fire that started in the kitchen.
The fire happened at a duplex in the 5300 block of North Division in Davenport, Iowa Wednesday afternoon, April 22, 2015. A spokesperson from the Davenport Fire Department said the fire had burned holes into the ceiling of the kitchen, which affected the floor of the upstairs. The other side of the home sustained smoke damage.
Nobody was home at the time of the fire.
A dog inside was rescued.
There were no reported injuries.
