A spokeswoman for Iowa American Water says crews will keep the water on to the Patriot Home Mobile Park. The mobile park was going to have its water shut off after former owner Mike Schultz was delinquent on his water bill payment. The park sits on Kimberly Road in West Davenport near the Wisconsin Avenue intersection.

Just last month, residents had their water shut off for a day because Schultz was late on his payment. Thursday, Iowa American Water spokeswoman Lisa Reisen told News 8 that the March payment that Iowa American Water had received, had not gone through. Later on that same day, Reisen told News 8 that the account had been transferred to a ‘new person’ and the ‘problem had been resolved.’

“How do you let a bill get to be 5 or $10,000?” mobile home resident Ethel Howard said in reference to Schultz’s previous bill. “It’s like they act like we’re animals that they can discard.”
