The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley got a high-tech gift. On Thursday, April 16, 2105, they were presented with five HP touchscreen computers in Davenport, Iowa.

The gifts were from United Healthcare, which were donated through the Community Computers Program. Members of the club say the computers will help the kids with their education.

“Homework is number one priority,” said Vice President of Resource Development Jenny Garlach. “After that, Boys and Girls Club of America has a program called My.Future, and there are all kinds of curriculum associated with that – helping them through technology, safety with technology, then supplementing other things as their math and language arts.”

The computers were set up in the club’s recently renovated computer lab, which serves around 55 students each day.
