A 39-year-old junior high school teacher was arrested after allegations that she had an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Jennifer Rexroat, listed as an 8th grade literature instructor for Monmouth-Roseville Junior High, was arrested at a convenience store in Monmouth at about 3:15 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2015 according to a statement from the Warren County, Illinois State's Attorney's Office.

"It is alleged that she solicited a male, fifteen year old Monmouth/Roseville Junior High School student to engage in oral sex," the statement said.  "There is no evidence that the sex act occurred," said a later statement from Warren County State's Attorney Albert Algren.

The district was notified Monday, April 6, of an investigation into an allegation against Rexroat, according to school superintendent Ed Fletcher.

Rexroat was charged with felony indecent solicitation of a child, the statement said.  She was held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.  She was released after posting ten percent of her bond late Monday afternoon, Algren said.

Rexroat was scheduled to appear in Warren County Circuit Court Tuesday morning.
