Semis were reportedly blown over as they traveled on area highways in Scott County late Thursday afternoon, April 9, 2015.
Initial reports indicated one westbound lane was blocked after multiple tractor-trailers were blown into the median on I-80 at mile marker 279.
A tractor-trailer also blew over on Highway 61 just south of DeWitt, Iowa.
Initial reports indicated strong winds impacted traffic and blew down power lines in that area, and StormTrack8 Meteorologist Eric Sorensen said the National Weather Service reported winds up to 100 miles per hour in western Scott County.
