The day after he disappeared, an 82-year-old Wisconsin man was found hours away from home after he told a relative he was in Davenport, Iowa.
Family members became concerned after 82-year-old Albert Soschinske of Hartford, Wisconsin, failed to arrive at a relative’s home, as expected, Sunday afternoon, April 5, 2015. He was last seen at about 1 p.m. that day. A “Silver Alert” was issued in Wisconsin as the search continued for Mr. Soschinske.
A family member reported Soschinske called her Monday morning, April 6, and said he was at a gas station in Davenport, Iowa. The relative did not have caller ID to identify or follow up on the call, police said. The distance between Hartford and Davenport is more than 220 miles.
Authorities later said Soschinske was found safe in Iowa that morning, but no further details were released.
