While officers were responding to a report of a fight, it escalated and a 28-year-old man was shot in Clinton, Iowa.
The fight was reported at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, march 29, 2015, in the 100 block of North 4th Street. When officers arrived, the shooting victim had already been taken by private vehicle to a local hospital. The victim was shot in the abdomen and his injuries were reportedly not life-threatening, police said.
