The season’s last Polar Plunge took place in Rock Island, where some brave people took a dip to help others.

Plungers jumped into Wicks Lake at Jumer’s Casino & Hotel on Sunday, March 22, 2015.  Some participants dressed up in costumes, while others bore mostly skin.

There were more than 300 people who took part in the plunge, which raises money for Special Olympics of Illinois. More than $68,500 was raised.

The jumps may be done for the season, but donations are still being accepted.
