Less than a month after she was sentenced to probation for vehicle burglary, a Burlington woman was caught quickly after she allegedly broke into two cars.
Vicki Lynn McKim, 41, dropped her cell phone inside a car she broke into at the Autumn Heights Apartments according to a report from KBUR. McKim was reportedly confronted by a different car owner, who allegedly caught her looking through their vehicle parked at Catfish Bend Casino.
Police said they found items stolen from both vehicles on her, when they arrested McKim just after 8:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015, near the Midtown Motel in the 2700 block of Mt. Pleasant Street in Burlington.
Court records showed McKim was sentenced in February 2015 to two years of probation after she was convicted of vehicle burglary according to Des Moines County, Iowa court records.
McKim remained held in the Des Moines County Jail, in lieu of $4,000 bond.
