Rockridge basketball will play for a third place spot in the state after falling to St. Teresa in the state semifinal.
The Rockets offense started slow as they trailed 10-5 in the first quarter. By halftime, the Rockets were down 21-11 against the Bulldogs.
St. Teresa gained a 12-point lead on the Rockets during the third quarter with a score of 27-15, but the Rockets pulled them back down to a 10-point gap of 35-25. Continuing to close the gap, the third quarter ended with Rockridge behind by eight points at 37-29.
Rockridge trailed 44-33 with 3:45 left in the fourth quarter. The final buzzer sounded at 50-39, St. Teresa.
Rockridge will now play for third in the state on Saturday.
