Flames were visible as firefighters arrived at a burning home on the west side of Rock Island, Illinois. The fire was reported at home at the corner of 8th Street and 19th Avenue just before 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2015.
Firefighters from the Rock Island Arsenal fire department were also called to help Rock Island firefighters battle the fire. Most of the fire was on the second floor, where flames were shooting from the windows.
An ambulance was dispatched as a matter of protocol. Initial reports indicated everyone safely escaped the house without injury.
