If you love toys or trains, this is the event for you.

On Saturday, February 28th and Sunday, March 1st, the Great Midwest Train Show is taking place at the QCCA Expo Center in Rock Island. The event takes place from 10am-4pm both days.

The show includes vendors from all over the country selling the latest models and collectibles. There is also a riding train for kids, door prizes, and operating model railroads in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Organizers say there is a new generation of collectors, thanks to advancements in technology.

"It used to be the further you turn the knob on the power pack, the faster the train went," said Bill Grove, Show Manager. "Now, you can run trains by remote-control. You can run them with your iPhone.  There's all kinds of options now that you can do."

Admission is $9.00 at the door for adults and free for kids under the age of 12. There is also free parking.
