Police are looking for information after a stranger approached and "ran toward" a child who had just gotten off the school bus in Albany, Illinois.  The incident happened around 3:40 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2015.

Chief Wyatt Heyvaert said multiple students were heading northbound on N. Bluff Street after getting  off the bus at N. Bluff Street and 1st Avenue.  Then, a six-year-old boy was approached by a black male, who asked the child to come to his vehicle.

"The boy was startled and replied, "No." The male black then ran toward the boy and the boy took off running northbound on N. Bluff Street," Heyvaert said in a statement.

The male then returned to his vehicle and left the area, Heyvaert said.

According to the statement, Albany Police said they discovered that the male was driving a red truck and had a white female passenger.
