Illinois Comptroller Leslie Munger will be in the Quad Cities on Monday, February 23, 2015.

Munger's visit comes just five days after Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner made his budget address. Illinois has a $6 billion deficit now.

Rauner picked Munger to become the state's comptroller, after former Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka died in December of 2014. Rauner talked about reducing local government on February 18, 2015, when he made his budget address.

Munger supports consolidating the Comptroller's Office and the Treasurer's Office, which could save $12 million a year. Munger will be at the Windmill Restaurant in East Moline at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
