One adult and one child received help from the Red Cross after their Rock Island, Illinois home caught fire.
The fire happened Saturday morning, February 21, 2015 in the 26000 block of 8 ½ Avenue, according to a spokesperson from the Red Cross.
A spokesperson from the Rock Island Fire Department said the home was not fit to live in at this time. He suspected it would remain that way for several weeks.
Volunteers were assisting an adult and a child and offer fire victims a place to stay, food, clothing, and emotional support.
