A Davenport, Iowa man was accused of violating a protective order to stalk a local woman and her children.

Court records showed 32-year-old Michael Foxworthy pleaded guilty in October 2014 to stalking and harassment charges that had been filed against him in August.  A no-contact order was issued, to keep Foxworthy away from the victim, and he was fined.  His jail sentence was suspended and he was ordered to serve one year of probation.

Less than four months later, Foxworthy was accused of violating the protective order and stalking the victim again.   A police affidavit said Foxworthy repeatedly threatened the same victim via text and voice mail messages over a period of about two weeks in late January and early February.  Foxworthy was arrested February 18, and he was booked into the Scott County Jail just after 12:30 a.m.

Court records showed Foxworthy was charged with felony stalking in violation of a protective order.  He was appointed a public defender and made his first court appearance in connection with the charge on the day of his arrest.  Court records also showed he was ordered held without bond.

Jail records showed Foxworthy remained held in the Scott County Jail.
