St. Ambrose University signed an agreement with the University on Iowa to complete their undergraduate and law studies in six years. The agreement was signed on Monday, February 16, 2015.

The agreement allows pre-law students to complete their undergraduate degree in three years. Their law degree can now be completed in three years too. The program is called a 3+3 agreement, which could take a year off an ambitious student’s tuition costs. Before, a pre-law student at St. Ambrose had to attend the school for four years, before they could go to the University of Iowa.

“While it may bring us some additional students, which we’d be very happy about, we don’t see this [bringing in] a huge influx of students,” St. Ambrose University President Joan Lescinski, CSJ said Monday.

St. Ambrose does not have a law school. That’s why the two universities are working together to produce a feeder system.
