A Colona business is accepting donations for the family of a nine-year-old girl who was killed in a fire in rural Warren County.

The Superintendent of the Monmouth-Roseville School District, Ed Fletcher, says fourth grade student K'Lynn Laws died in the fire.

The fire happened at a home just outside of Cameron, Illinois at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015. Two other children and one adult were able to escape the home uninjured, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Department.

The family lost nearly everything in the fire and is now in need of basic items, according to a family member.

"It's catastrophic losing her, but it's a double tragedy and everything is gone," said Josh Lane, Laws' uncle.

Clothing, any furniture and gift cards to Kmart are what they are asking for.

The following are the clothing sizes needed:

Women’s: XL shirts, pants size 14-16, shoes size 7.5

Men’s: XL shirts, pants size 36-30, shoes size 11

Children’s: Any clothing size 18-24 months and 3-4 toddler

Any donations can be dropped off at Aaron’s Affordable Towing located at 6257 Dayton Corner A St. in Colona, Illinois.  Their hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a .m. – 1 p.m.

"It's amazing that everyone is doing what they're doing so far," said Lane.

Two GoFundMe pages have also been set up. One was created to help with the cost of rebuilding, the other is to help cover costs for K'Lynn's memorial service.

The family lost a dog in the fire. They are also looking for a permanent home for their other dog, a pit shepard mix.
