An alleged burglar and his lookout were nabbed when another person trapped one of them inside a restaurant cooler.

Court records showed 46-year-old James Reddick was arrested Tuesday, January 27, 2015 and charged with one felony count of third-degree burglary.

Robert Williams, 48, was reportedly acting as a lookout while Reddick was allegedly rummaging inside an unlocked cooler behind the RoCA restaurant, in downtown Des Moines, at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 according to police.

That’s when two employees reportedly spotted Williams.  They went to investigate and discovered Reddick in the cooler; one of the workers then closed the cooler door, trapping Reddick inside.

Jail records showed Reddick was still in the Polk County Jail, held in lieu of $5,000 bond, as of Thursday morning, January 29.

Court records showed Williams was also charged with one felony count of third-degree burglary, and that he was released after posting $5,000 bond the day after their arrest.
