A father and son suffered serious injuries when the van they were in rolled several times on U.S. Route 67 north of Macomb, Illinois.

A father and son suffered serious injuries when the van they were in rolled several times on U.S. Route 67 north of Macomb, Illinois.

The 2012 Chevrolet 2500 van was southbound on U.S. Route 67 when the driver, 40-year-old Jarrod Husky of Glenwood, Illinois, lost control and drove into the center median just after 3 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015.

“The vehicle struck the center embankment which caused it to roll several times before coming to a rest,” said Illinois State Police Trooper Dan Hill.

Husky and his son, 20-year-old Jarrod Husky Jr., were taken by ambulance to a local hospital.  Hill said their injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

Husky Sr. was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage and failure to wear a seat belt, Hill said.
