Public works crews in the Quad Cities are preparing for more snow on Monday, January 5, 2014.

A spokesperson with Davenport Public Works says no snowplows were out on the roads Monday morning, but they do expect about 30 snowplows to be out on the roads Monday evening. Rock Island Public Works will likely have 10 trucks out, while Moline will likely have about 25. People we talked to on Saturday, January 3, 2014, say they're concerned about the conditions getting bad this week.

"When we travel in cold conditions, we have to take warm clothing and emergency kits," Denmark, Iowa resident Penelope Wolfe said. "When we drive, we have salt and sand in our trunk."

Experts say those are exactly the types of things you need in your cars when the conditions get bad. By 6 a.m. Monday, the Iowa Department of Transportation had no snowplows out in the Quad City area. To look at where the snowplows are in the state, click here.
