News 8’s own Denise Hnytka stepped onto the basketball court to help take on the Harlem Globetrotters.
The Globetrotters battled the Washington Generals at the iWireless Center Saturday, January 3, 2015.
After a few air balls Denise was able to make a basket and celebrate.
"Well, I think it went pretty well. It took me a couple of tries to land a couple shots, but the guys have been great,” said Denise. “They've been so nice and so welcoming and it's such an experience of a lifetime and I'm so, so glad that I got to do it."
Ahead of the game, Denise practiced with Bettendorf’s Kevin Skillet. She said she was able to use some of his tips in the game.
