Five arrested in connection with Dixon, Illinois armed robbery

Five people were arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Dixon, Illinois.

The reported victim of an armed robbery reported the incident Monday, December 29, 2014 at about 8:20 p.m., according to the Dixon Police.

The victim reportedly said he was robbed at knife point by three people while he was sitting in his car in the 700 block of West 2nd Street, the Dixon Police said.

When police arrived they saw two people fleeing from the 400 block of West 2nd Street on foot, Dixon Police said.

“Dixon Police Department and the Lee County Sheriff’s Department immediately set up a perimeter in order to contain the suspects.”

Police said five people conspired to commit the armed robbery.

Police arrested 22-year-old Devin T. Williams, 26-year-old Shawn P. Beets, and 23-year-old Brian S. Galor each for 2 counts of armed robbery and 1 count of vehicular invasion.

The three of them were held in the Lee County Jail on $100,000 bond.

Police said 21-year-old William J. Bankhead from Mount Morris was arrested for 2 counts of armed robbery and one count of vehicular invasion. He was held on $5,000 bond.  And 19-year-old Jordan A. Brake, also from Mount Morris, was arrested and charged with one count of vehicular invasion.

They were also held in the Lee County Jail, Dixon Police said.
