These kid-friendly chocolate trees are super easy to make and perfect for your holiday table!
Here’s what you’ll need.
Chocolate frosting
Vanilla frosting
Full-size Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (You will need one cup for each tree, so buy accordingly.)
Bag of mini Reese’s cups (2 per tree)
Bag of Hershey’s Kisses (1 per tree)
Assorted sprinkles.
Start with a mini Reese’s cup. Put a blob of chocolate frosting (that’s your glue) on the bottom of the cup, putting the ridge side down. Glue it to the top of a full-size cup, again that’s with the ridges pointing down.
Repeat for the third step using a mini Reese’s cup, stacking them up centered to form the tree. Make the top of the tree by gluing down a Hershey’s kiss on the top.
You may want to give the tree some time to harden in the fridge, or you can just proceed carefully to the next step.
Put your vanilla frosting in a piping bag (or in a Ziploc with one bottom corner trimmed off, like I do!) Use the frosting to go around the tree like snow or garland might look. While the frosting is still wet, add your sprinkles to make the ornaments, as much or as little as you like.
These trees can be served for dessert or used as place cards at your family table! Let me know how yours turned out!
