Heart-healthy recipe for five-spice sesame edamame

Try this delicious heart-healthy snack!

Ingredients:

1 pound of frozen edamame pods

2 ounces sesame oil

2 Tbsp. Chinese five spice

1 tsp. sea salt

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. To a boiling pot of water, add edamame and boil until just tender. (about 5 minutes). Strain edamame and run under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add edamame, sesame oil, five spice and sea salt. Toss together. Transfer to serving bowl.
