A man was killed when he was attacked with a metal baseball bat.
St. Louis County Police said it happened in a strip mall parking lot Thursday morning, December 4, 2014, when someone attacked 61-year-old Terry Dunn, according to a report by KTVI.
Police said it appears the suspect and Dunn knew each other.
KTVI reported that authorities believe the suspect went into a state office building looking for Dunn. Police reported that both Dunn and the suspect walked out of the building together and that was when Dunn came under attack.
Dunn was reportedly struck in the head until people nearby intervened. The suspect then dropped the bat, sat down next to the body and waited for police, KTVI reported.
Dunn was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect was arrested.
KTVI said the building Dunn and the suspect had been in holds various state agencies like child support, senior health services, disability, and the Department of Natural Resources.
