The Artisan Grain Distillery will do a taste test during the Festival of Trees Grand Premiere Party on Friday, November 21, 2014. The distillery gave us a sneak peek inside their business on Thursday, November 20, 2014.
Construction on the distillery has changed a lot since August of this year. Artisan Grain Distillery is located near the intersection of 2nd and Iowa in downtown Davenport. It is right next to the Great River Brewery. The distillery is inside the Davenport Tractor building and will share its space with the tractor part company. Both businesses are owned by the same person, Allen Jarosz.
The distillery will make moonshine, white whiskey, white rum, and other types of alcohol. Jarosz plans to start selling his alcohol on store shelves in the next two to three weeks..
The Festival of Trees Grand Premiere Party starts at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the River Center in Davenport.
