Quad City residents braved the elements on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 for the Davenport Veterans Day Parade.

People lined 4th Street in downtown Davenport to watch the parade go by. It started at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The parade started at 4th and Western, near the Scott County Admin Center. It ended right next door at the Scott County Courthouse. Veteran's groups, military members, and the ROTC participated in this year's event.

The Davenport West High School Band played the national anthem after the parade ended at the courthouse. Sergent Major Anthony Bryant from the Joint Munitions Command also spoke to the crowd of about 150. Organizers say they were pleased with the turnout, despite the cold temperatures.
