Wall Street reached record heights last week, thanks in part to the nationwide elections that brought Republican control of the U.S. Senate.
Our investment adviser, Phil Kassewitz, says those election returns are now factored into the markets and Wall Street will be looking at other factors this week. Friday's improving employment numbers also had a positive impact.
Among the factors this week: new unemployment filing numbers and more corporate earnings reports.
