Bettendorf, Iowa leaders are asking for public input to help them decide whether to keep, replace, consolidate or get rid of the city’s aquatic center, community center and life fitness center.

The city hired a company called Sports Facilities Advisory to survey residents and produce a set of recommendations for the future of the recreational facilities.

“The goal of the study is to fully explore potential options for the existing Splash Landing Family Aquatic Center, Herbert D. Goettsch Community Center, and Life Fitness Center including renovation, replacement consolidation or elimination,” said a statement from Bettendorf Parks and Recreation Director Steve Grimes.

The survey will also analyze the potential development of new recreation facilities, Grimes said.

Residents can participate in the online survey through Wednesday, November 19, 2014.
