A little more than an hour after polls closed in Illinois, Secretary of State Jesse White was projected to retain his job.
With nearly 25% of the votes counted in Illinois, White had 76% – or 467,065 – of the votes.
Michael Webster had 22% of the votes, and Christopher Michel had 2% of the votes counted.
