Federal authorities claim police seized sexually explicit images of minors from the home of a 76-year-old Clinton, Iowa man.
The discovery was made during an ongoing investigation by the U.S. Postal Service and Clinton Police, which included a search of Dirk Hayo Notman’s home on April 24, 2014. That’s when officers allegedly found the images.
“During this search, officers seized numerous DVDs containing sexually explicit images of minors,” said a statement from the office of U.S. Attorney Nicholas Klinefeldt.
Notman made his initial appearance in federal court in connection with the charge October 31, 2014. He remained detained until a detention and preliminary hearing set for November 6.
