Nuns were out walking the streets of Davenport earlier today, but it wasn't for Halloween. They've been doing a little campaigning themselves, taking their message door-to-door.

They started their campaign back in September. A 38 city tour that brought them to Davenport. However, they're not political candidates themselves, instead they follow a high power, they're nuns.

The sister's message is simple, they want people to get out to the polls this Tuesday.

"People are feeling so depressed, so turnoff by these negative ads by big money by feeling that their voice doesn't matter and we're out here on the road to say save our democracy," said Sister Simone Campbell.

The non-partisan nuns won't talk about issues or candidates, but rather encourage voters to use their right. They go door knocking to get their message out.

"Its about where are we going as a nation and what do we care about but more importantly can people work together once elected," said Sister Campbell.

They're giving a little push to those who have their doubts and letting people know their vote counts.

"Dollar bills cant vote only people can and its our power in this moment to vote," said Sister Campbell.

The sister's next stop is Wisconsin.
