A Moline man was charged in connection with burns suffered by an 11-month-old child.

DCFS reported to police October 6, 2014 that the child suffered second- and third-degree burns and was hospitalized in Iowa City, according to a spokesman for the Moline Police Department.

“The child had been placed into scalding hot water,” the spokesman said.

Tate was held in the Rock Island County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
