Two days after it was issued, a boil order that involved much of the northern half of Coal Valley was lifted.

A boil order was issued Monday afternoon, October 13, 2014, for residents in an area from Niabi Zoo road west to West 17th Street, from Route 6 south to 3rd Avenue. The order included The Ridges and Whispering Hills subdivisions.

The order was issued after a pump went down at one of the wells that provides water to Coal Valley.

After repairs were made and water sample tests indicated the water was again safe, the boil order was lifted Wednesday morning, October 15, 2014.
