An Augustana College employee, whose family member was recently in Liberia, was sent home from work as a precautionary measure.
A spokesperson from the college said that while neither the employee nor the family member was showing any symptoms of Ebola, the employee was sent home “out of an abundance of caution.” The action to send the employee home was based on a recommendation from the Rock Island County Health Department.
Augie's spokesperson said the employee is a member of the grounds crew.
