Murder charge filed in shooting at Five Seasons trailer park

A week after a man died of a gunshot wound he suffered at a home in Davenport, a 29-year-old man was charged in connection with his death.

A week after a man died of a gunshot wound he suffered at a home in Davenport, a 29-year-old man was charged in connection with his death.

Autopsy results showed Thomas N. Taylor, 18, died of a single gunshot wound to the chest Friday, September 26, 2014.  Taylor was found and taken to a hospital just after 4:30 a.m. but he died of his injuries.

Police previously said the shooting was an isolated incident.

Court records showed drug charges were filed against 29-year-old Devyn Fix the day after the shooting happened.

Fix was charged with second-degree murder Friday, October 3, 2014, according to a spokesman for the Davenport Police Department.

Fix was held in the Scott County Jail in lieu of a total $35,000 bond.
