A Sterling man was taken into custody after a several-month-long investigation related to child pornography.
From April 2014 – September 2014 police conducted an investigation regarding downloading and viewing images online.
Sgt. Alex Chavira with the Sterling Police Department said on Friday, September 19, police executed a search warrant for child pornography and arrested 27-year-old Robert Swon. He was charged with four counts of child pornography and failure to register as a sex offender.
Swon was taken to the Whiteside County Jail, according to Chavira.
The Attorney General’s Office and Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
